Caravanning in the Cotswolds

Bourton on the Water
Mark, Carol & Joe
Joe’s cousin Carol and Mark who joined us with their Motor home on the Sunday

A beautiful sunny March day at Bourton on the Water.  We went for lunch at  The Wellington Hotel.  The lads are drinking ‘Iron Brew’

There was a babbling brook, babbling behind us – very relaxing.

Tuesday Market Day at Morton in Marsh.

Another lovely sunny day.

An evening in our new van wine tasting.  This photo is a bit blurred as I think the Cabernet D’Anjou had had the desired effect on me :).

Joe, Carol and Mark prefer a nice red wine.

Card making class with Hobby Horse

These 2 cards were made at Rachel’s class Friday evening at Elvaston Village Hall.

This was my first time at one her classes and I thoroughly enjoyed it

Had to cut the swirly bit free hand with a craft knife – which was a bit scary at first but I felt pleased with the result

This took me about an hour to make – but would have been quicker but I kept having to wait for stamps :).  But Rachel did say it took her 3/4 hrs so I didn’t do bad

Had to use a craft knife to cut out the inside of craft handle & I’m not very proficient or confident with it – but I felt it went well.

A La Carte Lesley In The Cotswolds

newshed For our first trip out in our new caravan we chose to go to Broadway. We first came to Broadway 18 years ago when we bought our first van a second hand Trophy Aglia and our children were very small.

The weather has been superb for March.  We went into Broadway for a drink  on the first night at the Swan which was full of ‘hooray Henry’s’ after the Cheltenham Festival races.  But the following day we had a lovely drink in the Horse & Hounds and a nice drink and baguette in the Broadway Hotel (even Brown and Molten hand wash.  We visited Stow in the Wold and sat out and had lunch in the patio area of the Swan Hotel as the weather was so sunny.  Taking the local market bus with Carol & Mark to the market at Morton in Marsh was an experience in itself.  We were the only ones to pay – I tried to ask for a one way ticket but it was return only and woe be tide anyone who wasn’t  out side the Corn Exchange at 1230 for the return journey!
cornbeef hash yummy
Corned beef hash a la carte!  My new kitchen area is so big – I have never had such space before.

In fact the whole van is very spacious – we have never had such space for ourselves ever before

IMG_2831 On the way back to the Ferry Port at Caen we stayed at 2 small CL type sites. One near Mont St Michel and the other at ‘Camping Au Manoir de l'Abbaye’  in the small village of Matragny, Normadie

Paper Nation

Paper Nation Stamp
I was at a loss as to what to do as the image looked  ‘flat’ when I used the stamp & then added some colour.

But Tracey  came to the rescue and she suggested I decoupage a few things in it.  It worked well I think .   I am well pleased with the end product.

NEC

I’m going to the NEC on Thursday – yipeeeee!
Can’t wait as I have never been to one of these crafty exhibitions before

Cards made at Jayne’s last Saturday

We made both these cards at Jayne’s SU party last
Saturday.

I can’t wait for the SU items I
ordered that day

Men’s Cards

I loved making this card
the picture is fantastic. I obtained it from public domain clip art.  I thought this photo showed the energy involved in a plane taking off from an aircraft carrier.   I’d love to be the person in the bottom right hand corner!!

I have had this image for ages and only just had the inspiration to make a card from it !!!!

I made this for my brother’s birthday in March for my mum to send to him.

He is made about planes

Nicola’s birthday

I made this card for Nicola’s birthday in February  from Joe and I - she loved it

Nicola’s birthday

I made this card for my Mum to give Nicola for her birthday in February.

The paper I used  wash double sided and I bought in France whilst on holiday in September 2008

The idea for this card I found in a booklet that I have had for several years.

I made my own template for the envelope.

I liked the idea of using both sides of the card

My Mum loved the card

Samantha’s birthday

A card I made for Sam’s birthday in January – I love the cup cake button I used.
