Fly Away Friday

The weekend looms and it’s crafting tonight at Spondon Dabblers so what could be better  Smile

I’m hoping that the sun will shine today as it was pretty cold yesterday.  I abandoned my tunic and trousers for work after the sunny day on Monday and started wearing my dress, but yesterday I wished I’d worn my trousers!!!

I held a stamp class on Monday and these are samples of the cards that were made one is so saffron with cherry cobbler and the other with riding hood red.

Such a busy few weeks!!!!

This week has gone so fast I can’t believe it was only last Friday that we were sitting down crafting at Peterborough at Sir Stamp a lot.  It was such a great weekend and we made such wonderful craft things.  The only trouble it that the time just flew by and I can’t wait for the next one

On Saturday the project for the day was to make a heritage scrap book page picture under the supervision of Lisa .  I chose a picture of my parents wedding taken in 1946 in Sydney Australia to use.   I’m so pleased with it that I’ve now got it hanging in my house.  I still can’t believe how brilliant it looks.   This project was the inspiration of Lisa and I just love it.  I've still got a bit of journaling to do to finish it off.

Wonderful Wednesday

I went to post on my blog this evening and for some reason my blog was corrupted.  Luckily I have a computer whizz in the house ‘a man that does and his name is Joe’ and he has been able to sort it for me.   I’ve also got what I think is a brighter crisper format which I like much better than the old one.

What a wet day & miserable day it’s been today.

Tomorrow after work I’m off to the hairdressers – had to phone last week as I was booked in for Friday at 5pm then realised I wouldn’t be around so panic stations as my hair as grown quite a lot over the past dew week and for those of you who know me well I don’t do ‘long hair’.  Luckily my hairdresser Kristy was able to re book me for tomorrow.

Just love this card made with the Stampin Up stamp set Easter Wishes from the Spring Mini mini catalogue.  The colour scheme for this is pool party, whisper white and basic black and a little water colouring for the flowers.

Hopefully I will be visiting the Famers Market at the weekend at Bakewell again as last time I bought some wonderful food stuffs which included kippers, venison, buffalo and some super sausages and our supplies need replenishing.   If any one get the chance to go it’s well worth a visit on the 4th Saturday of the month.

thank you for taking the time to visit my blog

Ruby wedding

I want to know why do the weekends go so quickly?  Retirement can’t come  quick enough for me.   The weekend goes so fast.

I had a great time at Dabblers on Friday and made loads of cards using some retired SU DSP which I will post later this week.  It was great to chat and watch others make wonderful things too.

One of my co workers celebrated her Ruby Wedding anniversary with at party at Makeney Hall.  There was  great live music done by her husbands band & her sons.  Joe and I spent quite a lot of the evening chatting with friends about caravanning.

I saw a card very similar to this on someone’s blog – sorry I can’t remember who’s and I thought this was just the ticket for a Ruby Anniversary

Yesterday I did a bit of crafting the the craft room & today I’ve been painting with the grand children and then I took Cameron to get some new shoes as the others had got holes in the sole.

Well thanks for stopping and taking the time to read my blog and leave a comment.

Thursday threads . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Well I started the blog on wicked Wednesday but didn’t get chance to finish it.  Just over half way through the week and looking forward to the weekend.  Day off tomorrow but I have more dental work to be done in the morning.  I just sort one problem then another ugly problem occur.   I went to have my bridge fitted last week but it couldn’t be completed because the bridge needed some slight adjustments this treatment started 10 month ago!!! But it will be worth it in the end.  But I started with a problem with another tooth and ended up with a partial extraction and ooooooooooooooooh it was extremely  painful afterwards and I ended up taking codeine, Paracetamol and Iprobrufen to settle the pain.  But like the martyr that I am I soldiered on and went to work!!   I’m back at the dentist tomorrow and the bridge work will be completed but I’m not sure what will happen with the other tooth think I might be having the rest of it removed!!

I made this twisted easel card to demonstrate the use of one of the Stampin Up Sale a Bration stamp set to the ladies a Long Eaton.  I chose daffodil delight and old olive colours

Birthday Girl

Still trying to get to grips with my new PC as things aren’t where I think they should be stored and sometimes I can’t even find them – very frustrating but I’m sure before long all will be well!!

On the spur of the moment I went to see Alyson yesterday afternoon & spent a few hours in her craft room playing with some super die’s that she has and just chatted away which was  very relaxing.  Alyson had also made some gorgeous cards which she has put on Face book.

The family are coming for dinner tonight but  not  roast for them with all the trimmings – it’s warm & hearty shepherds pie with plenty of veg!!  The Shepherd was caught early this morning and pie’d by 10am, so that I could spend time in the craft room

Although it has warmed up today in Derby 3-4 oC it is still pretty cold and the remnants of the snow can still be seen on the roads. parks & gardens.  Sadly it is back to work tomorrow but on 4 working days til my holiday – yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.  Can’t wait love my hols.  Nothing special planned might even do a bit of decorating!!!

I’ve been to the craft room this morning and made a Ruby Anniversary card which I will blog after next weekend when we have been to their celebratory party at the Makney Hall Hotel next weekend.

What I will blog today is a card I made for Sam’s birthday last month – she was 25  - oh where have the years gone.
