Celebrate

Well it is raining in Derby today and Joe forgot to bring the washing in yesterday evening so it is dripping wet so I’ve just bought it in to spin it again!!

This time of year is always busy in our house – it was a year on the 31st July that my Mum died and I miss her terribly.  But is is also a celebratory time to as my mum was a wonderful women with a strong character,  my only son Matthew was born on August 1st and my eldest grandson is 3 today: August 4th.

I’ve been up since the crack of dawn & have got a ‘Thomas’ cake baking in the oven slowly – it is cooked so I have just removed if from the oven.  Cameron has had a bike for is birthday so weather permitting we should be off to Kedleston Hall this afternoon so he can ride it about and then back to his house for tea and cake lol.

I’ve been down to shops to get some white chocolate and chocolate buttons etc to decorate the cake and will post a picture of it over the next few days along with the card that I have made him.

I recently bought the 2 step bird punch and was playing around with it and I made this card.  I thought it would be suitable for an anniversary card or even a wedding card.  I’ve used whisper white, elegant eggplant old olive and lavender lace card stock.  I’ve swiss dotted the whisper white using my big shot.

well of for a walk at Kedleston Hall

Such pretty colors. I just love this punch and the endless ways to use it.

I share your pain. My mom's been gone for 10 years and I think of her every day. They say time heals but sometimes not so much!

Love the pics of your grandchildren. What a cute age!

Hi to Joe :)
