Tales from Florida

The ladies made this at a recent workshop at the end of October before I went on my holiday to Florida using the Welcome Christmas stamp set from Stampin Up.

 

During our first week in Florida, one of our days was spend at Discovery Cove which we’d never been to before.  We had some interactive time with Dolphin’s a truly wonderful experience, touching them and even being towed for a short distance by one.    I would recommend this & would definitely go there again given the chance. 

There was such a lot to do there that we could have done with more time – the day was just not long enough.   We arrived at 8am for breakfast and left at 18:00 hours when it closed.  Everything was provided.

We had great fun snorkelling in the coral reef area and I nearly jumped out the water when a ray touched me when swimming past me when I wasn’t expecting it.  I can’t describe what it was like swimming amongst the tropical fish it was truly amazing.

 

 

We spent a couple of days visiting Sea World along with a day at the water park Aquatica.  I never get tired of Sea World it’s an amazing place.  We had great fun in the water park too the best bit was Roa's Rapids & Walkabout waters.  We kept away from the ‘white knuckle’ type activities this visit.

 

One of the things I most miss when I return to the UK is swimming outdoors everyday and the blue sky and brightness.  I forgot whilst we were there howdull, grey  & overcast England can be such a contrast to the brightness and blue sky we had most days
