It’s Joe’s birthday today and he’s reached the grand old age of 62 or is he 62 years young!!!! The family are coming round for a BBQ later and so far it looks as though the rain might hold off.
Last year I didn’t make him a card I bought one instead and he was really disappointed so this year I pulled out all the stops!!!

We have birthday cake and I’ve made banana bread and some banana flapjacks both recipes from a favourite book that I’ve had for several years ‘More fast cakes’ by Mary Berry. I don’t bake like I used to when the children were small but you can’t beat cake made from a Mary Berry recipe. Will have to dash as loads to do before the family arrive
