Tracey and I did a workshop several weeks ago now on a Saturday afternoon and one of the Stamp sets we used was Countryside. About a week later I was using the same stamp set and came up with these cards.
I love the top one because of it’s ‘wonkiness’.

The card at the bottom I made using a technique I came across whilst surfing the web and I thought it would be wonderful for a background for the truck in this stamp set. A metallic background had been made by using quality tin foil. So off I went to have a try it out and by Jove it work so I thought I would share the idea with you.
Here’s how to make the gorgeous metallic background as shown in the bottom card with the truck on it. I cut a piece of plain card to the size required, I then cut a piece of tin foil slightly bigger than the piece card so that when I adhered it to the card I could fold the excess round the back of the card to give it a neat finish. Once I’d adhered the foil to the card I then put it through my big shot using the square lattice embossing folder and ‘voila’ and embossed metallic background.
I shared this technique recently at a work shop and the ladies thought the effect was brilliant. I hope you try this technique as I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the results.
thanks for dropping by

That's a great effect and really adds a touch of luxury to a fab card! Thanks for sharing the technique.

This image looks so different on each card and wonderful style. I like how you used the alfoil.
