Joe & I spent a great long weekend in London last week, we have been taking a trip to London around this time for the last 6 years. It’s a chance for me to reminisce about my younger days when I lived in Watford and visited London frequently and a very hot summer of 1976 when Joe and I went to the London every day & went to the theatre every night for a week!!!
This year Joe and I went to see the Jersey Boys at Prince Edward’s Theatre which was about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, great music, great show and tremendous atmosphere – I would definitely recommend it & I would go and see it again anytime.
Saturday morning was a visit to the Old Operating theatre followed by lunch at the George Inn. The afternoon was spent at the theatre & in the evening we were also lucky enough to meet up with a friend we both knew in our Navy days at the Trafalgar for a drink, meal and catch up. We talked so much Joe & I nearly missed the last train back to our hotel!!
Sunday was spent at the Tower of London followed by a trip down the Thames in a very luxurious Thames Clipper which sold costa coffee and took us to Greenwich again!!!
Joe and I had such a great time we can’t wait to go back again.
