Spend a great day at Twycross Zoo yesterday with Cameron and Joe – it was pretty hot compared with the dreadful weather we’ve recently had. Cameron had a wonderful time he got to ride the train and some sort of new ‘Bug’ ride they’ve installed over the past few weeks.
We managed to find a really lovely shady picnic table with gentle breeze wafting over us at lunch time so we could eat and drink in comfort.
They are doing a lot of revamping of the next 6-12 months extending the penguin pool, making a brand new owl area & Coyote enclosure and soon there will be a lion & tiger enclosure. Sadly since we last went both sea lions have died.
We did have a delicious ice cream from the cafe near to the Penguins whilst Cameron had a Smarty Pop one to keep us a bit cool.
When we got home Cameron and I had to content ourselves with cooling off in the paddling pool as we don’t have a swimming pool
thanks for dropping by

Lovely photographs Lesley, it's been too hot for me to venture out much, even to hot in my craftroom!
