We abandoned out decorating Sunday to travel to Leeds to a couple of days.  Staying at the Holiday Inn at Clarence Dock.  It’s about a 10 –1 5min walk from there to the centre of Leeds following the River Ayre & canal and one I would have loved on a dry day but  Sunday and Monday  must have been the wettest couple of days for ages!!!

The day we arrived  we went to see the German Christmas market which  was good but so much fattening food being served so I restrained but Joe  succumbed to a Bratwurst sausage in a roll.

We did however visit for our evening meal – recommended by a Traffic Warden as we had not idea where to eat  (he recommended 3 place in total) . Reds True Barbeque.

Monday we went to the Armouries and did King and Queen for the day!!!!

In the evening in the pouring rain we walked to the Town Hall Tavern (gastro pub) on Westgate & had a superb meal.  I wanted to go to the German Market in the dark but it was just sooooooooooo wet we opted to go straight back to the hotel.

Then this morning the fire alarm in the hotel went off so we had to evacuate – and it turned out to be a false alarm!!!!

Lovely card Lesley and great photographs. What a shame the weather let you down! :o)
By the way, with your word thing turned on it is very difficult to comment as it is sometimes virtually unreadable so if I haven't commented sometimes it is because I have given up in frustration!
