Happy 5th Birthday

I can’t believe Emily was 5 years old yesterday and she started full time school in September – it only seemed yesterday that she was born. Time is passing fast!!

Now those of you who can count will notice that there are only 4 candles on the cake that’s because they are ‘magic candles’ from France and there were only 9 in the pack & Emily wanted to keep 5 for her party at the weekend.  They are magic because not only do they make little sparks when lit but as soon as your blow them out they re light!!!

I went through some projects that I’d made at the previous retreat weekends, I’d been keeping them in a box and I decided that I needed to use them rather than just store them for ‘ron (later on) as soon I won’t have any space to keep them as I keep adding to them and it seems such a shame not to use such gorgeous items. So here goes.  This was a   card made on our 2nd retreat I think so several years ago now. But it’s still lovely and with a bit of customisation just right for Emily’s 5th.  When I look at all the projects it brings such happy memories back as I just love these weekends.  Just wish I could afford to go more than once or twice a year!

It was lovely and sunny this morning but now it’s raining and quite miserable
