Blue Mountains

We've been away for a few days to the Blue Mountains with Mick and Elaine  (our English friend) who now reside in Ellis Lane near Campden Sydney.  The Blue Mountain get their name from the blue haze that rises due to the oil from the Eucolyptus trees that are abundant in the area.

We arrived there last Sunday and after checking into out hotel, we went to Echo Point which looks out over the Jamison Valley which I might add is vast and the 3 Sister which are associated with Aboriginal Dreamimg.

On Monday we woke up to an extremely wet day and after Brunch we headed for the Jenolan Caves. These were Discovered by early pioneers who crossed the great divide.  On the way to Jenolan we were fortunate to see several Wallaby's roaming wild.  I did take some picture but not with my I pad:( so I can show you them yet.   At Jenolan we went into Lucas Cave which just happened to be one of the harder ones with over 900 steps.
