Botany Bay

Tuesday we had a relatively quiet day - shopping in the morning at a scrap book shop at Narellan followed by a visit to Narellan Mall to return to the Autograph shop there.  To purchase some more crop trousers and shorts - there are bargains to be had as it's Autumn here!  Couldn't believe I bought some crop trousers for $4.99 reduced from $30 even better I'm as size 16 here too!!!

We then drove to Kurnell National Park which is where Botany Bay is situated.  Adjacent to the park is an oil processing plant and is is also on the flight bath for planes landing at Kingsford Smith airport

Behind Joe is Captain Cook's landing place of 1770!

Burrawang walk tells the story of the first meeting of European and Aboriginal culture. A soundscape, featuring Aboriginal language.

The Burrawang walk takes you past several of the area’s historic sites, including the welcome wall, the freshwater stream, the meeting place, Banks’ Memorial, Ferry Shelter Shed and Captain Cook's landing place.

View at Botany Bay

How wonderful, I am really enjoying seeing Australia from a tourists perspective. I have not visited any of these spots and must do next time we are down Sydney way. Thanks for sharing.
