Joe is watching the football in the bar this evening so I've taken the opportunity to have a glass or 2 of my favourite wine - only available in this region of the Loire Valley, believe you me this wine is amazing!!
Well it's another glorious sunny day in the Loire Valley, yesterday's rain is now forgotten about. I had a wonderful morning yesterday at Chalonnes sur Loire shopping in the markets there. The markets in France are amazing there seems to be nothing you can't buy in them. The food that they sell is so tasty such an array of cheeses fruit and veg.
This afternoon Joe and I have been to visit a local Château at Serrant. It is still a lived in Chateau where the late Queen Mother visited back in 1981. They had some pictures showing all the luggage she bought there was 'mountains' of it. Plus the Château has link with an English family a few hundred years ago. The kitchen was very impressive too, but sadly you are not allowed to take picture of the interior.
