time flies by so quickly!!

Where does the time go  . . . . . . . . I wish I knew.  I just can’t believe we are nearing the end  January 2015

Joe and I went to friends an evening wedding reception in December and this was the card I made for her and her husband.

although you cannot see it very well the base card has a shimmery effect which I achieved  by spaying  shimmer mist on to the whisper white card.

Saturday I nipped into see a crafting friend as she said I could do some dies using her haberdashery dies, I thought it would only take and hour 2 hours later I was still there cutting it took far longer than I thought.  But it was lovely chatting to someone whilst die cutting.  I went home to see the grandchildren.  Oliver wanted to scoot down to ‘our park’ and take a picnic!! I had to tell him it was far too cold for that.  We did venture down the park and boy it was chilly!!   We stopped by in the park cafe for a drink and guess what Ollie wanted an ice lolly there was no dissuading him either, so an ice lolly he had and yes he ate it completely.  I opted for a warming cup of coffee.

Sunday saw a cup of coffee with Pam followed by an afternoon crafting.  Sadly the weekend passed too quickly for my liking!! So it was back to work on Monday Sad smile

I went to see the film about Stephen Hawkin  ‘The Theory of Everything’ on Monday with a friend at the Quad cinema, it was an excellent  film quite enthralling.  It was also nice catching up over a coffee before hand as we don’t see as much of each other as we would like.

I left for work this morning  and although it was very cold  there was hardly any snow left from the flurries of last night,  but when I got to smaller Smalley and Heanor I couldn’t believe how much snow had fallen – far more that we’d had in Derby and soooooooooo very cold.  I don’t suffer from the cold but yesterday and today I’ve been suffering with cold hands and feet.

I thought I share with you a couple of picture of Ollie making chocolate chip cookies a few weeks ago – I’m not sure how much of the mixture he ate and how much went into making the biscuits Smile

Likewise, I cannot believe January will soon be in the past!!!!!
Beautiful card and lovely photographs Lesley. I didn't realise there is a cafe on the park! Of course, for children it is never too cold for ice cream :o)
