York . . . . . . .

Last Monday I met with the ladies from Long Eaton they came over to my house for a crafting day.  The sun was shining so it was lovely and warm in the conservatory even though it was very cold outside, as one point we even had to open the window to let a bit of cool air in!!

Pauline made a delicious coffee and pecan sponge – I am annoyed with myself that I didn’t take a picture of it to show you all.  The theme for the day were ‘cards for men’ always a difficult one for us crafters!!  this was one of the 3 men’s cards we made on the day – one for the ladies sneaked in at the end of the day!!  As I’d got a wonderful stamp that was excellent for quick and simple cards.

this is one of the men’s cards we made on the day

A few pictures from our recent long weekend in York.  We stayed at Micklegate Bar.  It was a very cold weekend with temperatures below freezing but a brisk walk into York soon warmed us up.  Here are a few picture I look at the NRM of the Royal Train.
