Warm Wednesday and Thursday

I can't believe we are already into the month of July, where does the time go I keep asking myself.

Wednesday saw Joe and I having restful day, relaxing, reading, swimming and sitting by the pool.  I swan 30 lengths  & the temperature rose to 29oC.

What must be now be months ago now (like I said where does the time go).  The ladies from Long Eaton made this simple but very effective card I think using one of my favourite and versatile stamp sets.

Today I cycled into Montjean to the boulangerie to pick up our baguette for our lunchs, we usually sit out  & have it  with  French cheeses and rillettes de canard (a type of chunky potted duck).  It is so lovely having a leisurely lunch knowing that you don't have to rush offc

Below is the road to I ride along to the village that I have cycled most days.  A The temperature is rising again today, the sky is blue and not a cloud to be seen.   Think  I might take a dip in the pool later.

This is a most vibrant hydrangea  which has caught my eye each time I have ridden into the village it is a most vibrant colour.  So before I leave this lovely place I thought I would capture it in a picture.

On our cycling jaunts we have passed a large horticultural place  which says on it's board it cultivates Poinsettias, hydrangeas and African violets.  As we've ridden by  there are fields of hydrangeas in pots which are being cultivated and tended by hand.  Tuesday we saw several people sat on wheeled stools tending theses plants by hand.  They  seem to grow very well in this area.

Sadly our holiday here is nearly over as we move north tomorrow into Normandie to a caravan site not far from Bayeaux as we catch the ferry on Sunday back to the UK.

À bientôt
